IBK is not a financial establishment seeking only profit bus has continually been making active contributions as a specialized developmental bank and an active partner in the industrial development of Kuwait. In addition to financing industrial projects, following up their progress and success, and providing comprehensive financial and banking services to clients, the bank offers, technical, financial, marketing and administrative counseling to the industrial sector.

The bank plays a major developmental role in the national industry, the expression of opinions, and the participation in decision making through its membership in the board of directors for the Public Authority for Industry and its close cooperation with various authorities connected to the industrial activity. The bank has collaborated in holding numerous conferences and seminars, both locally and in the Gulf, dealing with industrial issues and in which it has presented papers and research aimed at the development of the industrial sector, taking the problems and needs of the industrialists, and examining the means of boosting this vital productive sector.

In appreciation of the importance of developing the skills of employees at local industrial installations, increasing the efficiency of performance, and advancing the methods of work, the bank has continuously offered specialized training courses in the areas of industrial management, marketing, cost accounting, and financial analysis of industrial projects to overcome the problems impeding the performance of national factories.

In an effort to increase the efficiency of the productive potential at Kuwait industrial installations, to expand the marketing activity of the national products, and to access new marketing outlets within Kuwait and abroad, the bank contributed to the establishment of the Kuwaiti National Marketing Company which commenced operations in 1998 and aims to achieve more advancement and progress in the area of marketing and promoting national industrial products.

In appreciation of the invaluable role of the bank in the administration of loan assets and due to its experience as well as technical and practical capabilities, the Kuwait Investment Authority has authorized the bank to administer portfolios since 1988. The bank is currently administering the Agricultural Finance Portfolio and is also in process to run a financial portfolio for small craft projects aiming to encourage the Kuwaiti youths to engage in such productive crafts and industrial ventures based on the Amiri Decree dated 25th of May 1998.
